As a Supervisory Management and Program Analyst, this position serves as the Chief of the Field Services Section, within the Functional Accounting Services Branch. The priorities of the Field Services Section includes managing a diverse Customer Support section, customer service management (help desk) and Financial Procurement Desktop training. Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team. Typical work assignments include:
Providing consultative advice guidance and instructions to address diverse complex issues which often cross multiple projects/programs or functional areas. Preparing and/or approving studies (e.g.) Lean Six Sigma) or reports for section. Making recommendations concerning operating policy for section. Actively monitoring work load thresholds and providing upper management awareness and corrective action plan if needed. Planning and preparing correspondence, reports, oral presentations and other work documents related to complex program issues for major USCG programs. AT THE GS-13:
Applicants must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. Examples of specialized experience include:
Experience analyzing and measuring the effectiveness and efficiency of operational, administrative and technical programs; Experience drafting standard operating procedures; Experience presenting information to high-level agency/organization officials; and Experience leading and/or managing an administrative support staff. National Service Experience (i.e., volunteer experience):
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
