Job Description Sentara Materials Management is currently seeking an experienced Materials Handler for this Flexi, evening shift non-benefit position
Job
Summary:
This position will require the ability to operate materials handling equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, ect. This position also involves the lifting, pushing and pulling of heavy materials and requires the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
Material Handlers are responsible for coordinating and managing incoming and outgoing supplies in our warehouse, that is, receiving, sorting and validation of packages, documentation process distribution/delivery, and records keeping. Candidates must be able to verify the catalog number, quantity order and item number/sortation. Candidates must be able to place totes/box in correct cart by location ID.
Position requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Basic computer skills, minimum of one year experience in warehousing, or storeroom operations or receiving supplies.
- Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, lift, push, and pull heavy materials.
- This position required the use of a PDT (handheld).
- This position requires steel or composite toe safety shoes
City Chesapeake, VAEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
