The Lee Group is seeking experienced Machine Operators to work at one of our valued clients located in Suffolk, VA. As a MachineOperator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of slitting machines that convert large format sheets of fiberboard into customer specified sizes. Machine Operators
The Lee Group is seeking experienced Machine Operators to work at one of our valued clients located in Suffolk, VA. As a MachineOperator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of slitting machines that convert large format sheets of fiberboard into customer specified sizes. Responsibilities of Machine Operators:
- Prioritize the safety of yourself, your peers, and the overall operation.
- Operate fiberboard slitting machine in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform machine setup, including adjusting settings and loading materials.
- Monitor machine operations to ensure proper functioning and quality output.
- Conduct regular quality checks to maintain product specifications and identify any deviations.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor maintenance tasks as needed.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Complete production logs and reports accurately and timely.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge of machine operation and safety procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of previous experience operating industrial machinery preferred.
- Intermediate mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding and ability to take measurements down to 1/16th of an inch.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts and overtime as directed.
- Commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
