5 Quick Apply Full-time 19 hours ago Full Job Description Human Resources Director The Human Resources Director possesses the requisite experience and expertise necessary to lead, coordinate, plan, oversee and administer essential processes of sci's human resources (HR) department, including:
representing sci in all HR, DOL, EEOC, OSHA and other federal and state compliance related matters; employee recruitment, development, retention, and recognition; administration of pay, benefits, and other compensation; enforcement of company policies; and management of HR programs to support sci and its employees while ensuring legal compliance.
the HR director will also serve as facility security officer (FSO) to manage the company's facility and IT security programs and successfully execute the company's cybersecurity maturity model certification (CMMC).
Supervisory Responsibilities Represent executive management in all human resource related matters, including implementation of company policies, strategic goals, and leadership initiatives.
Oversee the human resource department in-line with government laws and regulations, SCI core values, and the overall company strategic plan; set annual department goals and provide executive management with periodic reports on key performance indicators.
Manage and monitor a wide range of information, such as federal and state employment regulations and policies, employee benefits, recruitment processes, and more; partner with executive and departmental leadership on development, implementation, communication, and adherence to new or revised employee policies.
Support current and future business needs through the recruitment, development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital; lead annual succession planning with shareholders and managers.
Report HR updates to executive management and provide decision support through metrics and key performance indicators.
Develop and manage sci's training program; partner with cross-departmental leaders to ensure all respective training needs are met and required qualifications/competencies are assigned, tracked, and documented.
Lead and manage sci's performance management system to drive higher employee performance, retention, and career pathing.
Define and manage disciplinary procedures, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws, and resolve conflicts between employees.
Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues.
Serve as facility security officer with responsibilities as outlined in sci's security program standard practices and procedures manual; partner with executive management on all facility and it security matters; successfully implement the company's cybersecurity maturity model certification (CMMC).

Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.

Ensure employees are fully briefed and understand their job responsibilities.
Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
includes the ability to prescreen candidates to determine their ability to align with company goals.
Identify and implement new strategies for recruiting efforts to include job fairs, agency referrals, professional recruiters, and online recruitment platforms.
Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verification.
Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to pay, benefits, and other compensation; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety.
Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, engaging with executive management as required for complex, legal, and/or sensitive matters.
Attend and participate in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Utilize software as provided for HR related tasks.
Ensure job descriptions are up to date and in compliance with government laws and regulations.
Develop, implement and maintain a compensation strategy for all employees commensurate with current market conditions based on market research and HR best practices.
Ensure all company HR policies are applied consistently.
Maintain company organization charts and employee directory.
Design and implement employee retention strategies.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
