Executive Director, Business Development at Trustmark in Remote

Trustmark has an exciting new opportunity for an Executive Director, Business Development. Trustmark is exploring strategic opportunities in the Senior Fitness market that will leverage the company's existing enterprise assets/capabilities along with acquired/partnered capabilities to bring forward a differentiated offering(s) to Medicare Advantage Plans and others who serve seniors on fitness and engagement. This role will drive business and market development consistent with our go-to-market strategy. This role will partner with a small, but powerful team to collaborate on a 2022 market demonstration and entry. The team also includes product design, research, project management, and technical resources. This team will collaborate closely with Health Fitness (HFIT:
our corporate-focused business) and leverage the capabilities of HFIT and Trustmark (e.g., legal, technology platforms, HR, finance), but will operate and drive business development for the Senior Market independently. Key Accountabilities:
Develop relationships with Medicare Advantage plans, leveraging existing relationships, to drive distribution of our solution. Develop non-plan relationships where we could also deliver Senior Fitness solutions, as demonstrations or as longer-term markets to serve (e.g., active senior communities, progressive primary care organizations, provider associated ACOs). Support the continued refinement and iteration around product design and roadmap, based on direct market feedback and needs. Be a thought leader on ongoing strategy refinement, including segmentation, channel partners, and economics/ pricing. Support identification and evaluation of potential acquisition targets and/or strategic partnerships that would give us a foundation for market entry and acceleration. Education and
Experience:
Specific areas of critical functional experience are:
Strategy, Marketing, Product, Sales, Commercialization Sales and business development experience in a B2B industry, with demonstrated track record of driving growth and relationships (10
years) Creativity in sales and business development given the stage of maturity; co-develop a solution with clients (vs. just sell a static, existing product) Deep experience/understanding of the MA market, ideally from a non-risk, supplemental benefit perspective (ideally 5
years) Deep experience/understanding of senior demographic (e.g., needs, wants, behaviors, experience, digital engagement) (ideally 5
years) Understanding/experience of the wellness/fitness space, ideally as related to the senior market/demographic Strong influencing, presentation, and communication skills Comfort with ambiguity and ability to thrive in a start-up like entrepreneurial environment Strong thought leader with the ability to think out of the box and generate creative solutions
Salary Range:
$250K -- $500K+
Minimum Qualification
Sales Management & Operations, Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
