If you have a love for animals, a good sense of responsibility, and want to earn some extra money having fun, this is the job for you! Must be reliable.
Must also be able to follow directions and be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
Having a dependable car and passing a background check is also required.
We are currently looking to hire for a route that is EARLY morning and MID-DAY (occasional late afternoon/evening) in Chesapeake.
PLEASE read the shifts we are hiring for.
This is what is needed currently:
This position is primarily M-F mid days with some early mornings.
Occasional help with visits early evenings may be needed as well.
Sat and Sun is required 1-2 weekends a month (based on client bookings).
MUST be available to work mornings for breakfast route (if needed it's usually 1-3 visits between 630-8) and available for the mid -day route M-F (typically 10 to 2ish with between 4-7 walks per day).
Hours and routes vary with client bookings, the busiest shift is M-F mid days but having the availability early mornings and Sat/Sun when needed is a REQUIREMENT.
Having additional availability early evenings preferred.
The ideal person will live in Chesapeake.
Most clients are in Greenbrier, Great Bridge, Grassfield areas.
Some additional requirements:
Animal care experience is a plus.
But we will provide paid training for the right person! Dependability is required to keep this job.
This is a fun job but requires a higher level of reliability than most p/t jobs.
Positive people only Have the ability to handle dogs of different sizes and breeds on leash.
Must have the ability to walk long distances in different weather conditions.
